for gens 1-6, i will be using the official mini-sprites from the games, found on bulbapedia

for gens 7+, i will use mini-sprites from pokefarm. the sprites can be found on pokefarm's wiki using that code compendium

this is due to Pokemon switching from pixel sprites to 2D images
